Travel - our expedition begins with a flight to London. Meanwhile the delay is  only two hours.

Night view of London from the plane.

Succeeding plane had gone, we have to spend an unplanned day in the Heathrow.

After all, the departure from London to Johannesburg.

Before landing in Johannesburg.

Johannesburg. The way from the airport to the station by the cab. Our first rendezvous with the African continent.

Johannesburg around the main station.

Johannesburg around the main station. Market place.

A trip to Harare (Zimbabwe) by bus of the company City to City.

We found Bata shop in Harare. Later we will see tens of them.

We are refreshing in Harare for further night journey.

This company with the white wave disappointed us. The bus was terribly overcrowded and it went from Harare (Zimbabwe) to Lusaka (Zambia).

The way the bus looked inside.

The border bridge across the Limpopo River between Zimbabwe and Zambia.

Customs formalities. The whole border crossing took four hours.

And this is Lusaka, capital of Zambia and place of our observations. The highest building and shopping centre. Suburbs are not so ostentatious.

The university bookstore. The choice is relatively small and contents mostly foreign publications.

Lusaka University. The main advantage was a huge playground where the observations and celebrations took place.

A way from our private to the bus station.

A way by bus from Lusaka to Livingstone.

We made a picture of this residence on our way.

The church in Livingstone. The town is the starting point to the Victoria Falls. It is located close to the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Victoria Falls - Zimbabwean side. If you had enough money you can fly over the falls in baloon or helicopter.

From Victoria Falls we went to Masvingo. This is the Masvingo station.

Fried worms are sold in front of the station. Nobody has tasted it.

Great Zimbabwe Monument (ruins of the Shona civilisation) is close to Maswingo. This market is right besides the ruins.

This strange mountain was nearby the Great Zimbabwe.
Border between Zimbabwe and RSA. Ploughed soil and barbed wire.

Hitch hiking through South Africa. We travel to the Neilspruit to admire the  Blyde River Canyon and the Kruger National Park.
Refreshment in the Kruger National Park. Expedition finishes. Tommorrow we are leaving Africa.
